New Indicata search filter enables dealers to compare used car prices and desirability by seller type
Indicata has upgraded its used car data platform to enable dealers to view individual car prices split by seller type.
- Dealers can now filter data between franchised and independent used car stock
- Platform upgrade improves accuracy of pricing part exchanges and forecourt cars
- Indicata processes and records over 750,000 used car prices every day
Indicata has upgraded its used car data platform to enable dealers to view individual car prices split by seller type.
Dealers can now split out prices and desirability of used cars by filtering between franchised and independent stock on the Indicata platform where prices can often vary by between 5-10% on an identical car.
This will speed up the dealers’ ability to price a car for part exchange or when adding a car to their forecourt with the confidence they are maximising their investment against rival franchised or independent dealers locally and nationally.
Previously dealers could only price used cars against the whole market knowing that some premium cars with options could be priced 5-10% cheaper by an independent dealer when compared with a franchised dealer.

“We have developed this feature over a few months in response to requests from our franchised dealer clients, however independent dealers have already welcomed the option too,” explained Dean Merritt, Indicata UK’s head of sales.
“Comparing used car prices on a like-for-like basis provides dealers with enhanced accuracy. This ensures prices are competitive when up against their local or national competition,” he added.
Indicata processes and records over 750,000 used car prices every day in the UK which allows dealers to price their used cars in real time.
